Text Box: Note: SACS does not allow the appointment of any Teaching Assistants with primary teaching responsibilities unless they have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours of study in the field that they will teach. This includes any situation where the student is the primary instructor of a class or lab for credit . SACS further requires that all such primary instructors be under the direct supervision of a faculty member experienced in the teaching discipline, receive regular in-service training, and be evaluated regularly.
