  • Tentative date for Department notification of Graduate Student Research and Travel Awards for fall semester.

  • Last day to be certified for Fall Academic Common Market scholarship.
  • Last day to register or add a course for Fall semester.
  • Application for degree and application for candidacy forms due for student expecting to graduate in August.
August 31 Final day for graduate assistants receiving UA health insurance benefits for fall 2008 to enroll at the Student Health Center.

SEPTEMBER 2008
September 1 Holiday- Labor Day observed.

September 3

September 15 Deadline for international applicants currently in the U.S. to have complete applications for Spring Semester, unless the desired department has an earlier deadline.
September 16 Last Day to remove a four week incomplete grade.
September 17 National Celebration of "Constitution Day"

October 8 An approved Dissertation Title Card must be submitted in the Graduate School office. We must have the exact title by this date.
October 17 Deadlines to apply for transfer of graduate credit earned at another institution. Official transcript from the institution must be on file at the Graduate School. (Applicable to prospective December graduates)
October 24
  • Last Day to submit:Successfully defended and edited theses and dissertations to the Graduate School Office. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Last Day to :Report results of comprehensive examination for students submitting theses and dissertations.
October 26 Expected deadline for departments to submit tuition request forms for Graduate Assistants for Spring 2009 semester in order to ensure that student receives full credit before confirmation deadline

Last Day to drop a course with a grade of "W".

Pay Diploma Fee to the office of Student Receivable.

Announcement of Graduate Council Fellowships for 2008-2008. Call for nominations for Graduate Council Research/Creative Activity Fellowships

  • Last Day to report results of comprehensive exams for Plan II graduating students.
