13. State Grants and Fellowships

To qualify for state aid, you must be a resident of Alabama. Information on the following programs may also be obtained from your county or city board of education. The Technology Scholarship Program. T-SPAT offers tuition assistance for three technology courses to teachers working toward a master's degree in Education. PACERS Program includes scholarships and other forms of financial assistance are available to teachers seeking to enhance their Spanish language and cultural skills or pursuing the master's degree in Spanish. On occasion, some tuition assistance may be available to teachers from small schools seeking certification in library service. The Alabama Army National Guard education assistance program is funded annually by the state legislature. The program is designed to supplement available federal programs.
