Recruitment Day and Interviews

The Division will typically host a Student Affairs GA Recruitment Day in late February or Early March. This day will consist of information about the UA Division of Student Affairs and give candidates an opportunity to interact with departments and participate in interviews for available positions. This year, that date is tentatively set for March 4, 2011.  If candidates are interested in multiple positions, it may be possible to be scheduled for multiple interviews on that day. If a candidate is unavailable to attend GA Recruitment Day, then alternate interview options can be negotiated and scheduled with the individual office at a mutually agreed upon time.

How To Apply
  • Each Spring semester, interested candidates will be able to complete the SA Graduate Assistantship Application Form which will be linked at the bottom of this page. At that time, you will be asked to upload all requested materials, and supply all requested information (i.e., telephone number, email address, references, resume and cover letter). As a preperatory step, we encourage those who might be interested in working in our division to begin preparing such documents, etc.

  • Priority for scheduling interviews and forwarding candidate information to departments will be given to applicants who apply by our priority deadline which is March 1, 2011.  Applications for all departments will continue to be accepted until all positions are filled.

  • If your application materials indicate that you are a potential candidate for the position, you will be contacted to participate in our Student Affairs GA Recruitment Day and will interview on-campus during the February or March timeframe. While the application will allow you to express interest in all available positions, there is no guarantee that you will be selected for an interview time.

  • The 2011 GA Recruitment is tentatively scheduled for March 4, 2011. During the application process, you will be asked whether you plan to attend this day. If you are interested, please select YES and more information will be emailed to you.

If you have any questions about the graduate assistantships listed on this website, the application process, or Student Affairs GA Recruitment Day please contact the Office of the Dean of Students- Rosalind L. Moore at 205-348-6796 or rlmoore@sa.ua.edu.
