African American Graduate Student Association
The purpose of the African American Graduate Student Association (AAGSA) shall be to serve as a source of social and emotional support for African American Students and to actively promote the interests of African American graduate students. In addition, the AAGSA will serve to promote the retention of African Americans and increase the minority representation on the campus of The University of Alabama. The mission of the AAGSA is to advance the scholarly activities of African American students and to be a vehicle for positive social change. The AAGSA seeks to fulfill this purpose through social, academic, service, and cultural exchanges.
