Jenny Hughes is a second year MSW student in the University of Alabama’s School of Social Work. She is a 2001 graduate of the Alabama School of Fine Arts (dance) and a 2005 graduate of Birmingham Southern College (psychology and dance). After completing one year of graduate school in experimental psychology, Jenny switched paths and moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked for a best practices research firm called Corporate Executive Board. She then decided to go back to school for social work and was awarded a 2007-2008 Graduate Council Fellowship. After getting her degree, Jenny plans to work in rural community development.
