  • April 20th, 2010
Eric O’Neal is completing his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology in the College of Education. His primary research focus is on hydration and nutritional needs of recreational exercisers. Multiple personal negative incidents regarding running and dehydration in the hot Alabama summers peeked his interests in hydration research. In 2009 Eric was awarded close to $85,000 in external funding to complete two research projects on this topic. One of his proudest accomplishments while attending the University of Alabama has been that he has been able to include over a dozen students he taught as a GTA as assistants in his research projects. Eric continues to be an avid runner, loves to fish, and watch Alabama football with his wife Whitney who is a Music Performance major.
