Abby Jones – Department of Theatre & Dance

Originally from Austin, TX, Abby Jones received her B.A. from Wellesley College and will receive her M.F.A. from the University of Alabama this August. Her UA credits include Othello (Desdemona), Side Man (Terry), Wonder of the World (Cass), Animal Crackers (Larry), Moby Dick (Fedallah), The Rose Tattoo (Assunta), Screwtape (Wormwood). Last summer, she performed in Treasure Island (Calico Jane) and Richard III (Jane Shore) at Colorado Shakespeare Festival. She has also performed with Tuscaloosa’s Rude Mechanicals and been showcased as a singer/songwriter at the Bama Theatre. This summer she will take the stage in New York City and Havana, Cuba along side actors and dancers from The Cuban National Council of Performing Arts in Seth Panitch’s Alcestis Ascending.
