Brandy Featherstone is a third year Ph.D. student from Spokane, Washington. As a student in the Strode Program in Renaissance Studies at UA, her research currently focuses on representations of women’s wit in early modern English drama as well as early modern women writers, particularly those writing closet drama. Brandy earned her undergraduate degree in English literature and a graduate degree in secondary education at Gonzaga University. She taught high school English for four years outside of Seattle, WA before moving to Tuscaloosa to begin her Ph.D. Brandy has worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the English department at UA and is currently working as a Graduate Assistant for Recruitment in the Grad School. She hopes to work in higher education administration after finishing her degree, and in her spare time, she enjoys reading books written in the current century, going on walks with her dog, and crocheting.
