Chalandra Gooden is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Mathematics Education and a research assistant at The University of Alabama. She is from Hoover, Alabama, and completed her Bachelor's in Mathematics and Master's in Math Education from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. She is interested in math teacher retention and how math teachers' identities assist in their job satisfaction and practices in the classroom.
