Lou Bustos

Lou is a returning student who has had many scholastic and personal accomplishments. He was born to a military family in New Boston, Texas. Lou has also lived in East Germany (twice), Ft. Lewis Washington, Ft. Riley Kansas, and Ft. Wayne, Indiana where he graduated high school from Howe Military School.  Lou has come to The University of Alabama to research and study the transitional issues (both positive and negative), which are associated with living in the military cultural environment. Lou’s military experience was not only as a dependent, but he also served in the United States Marine Corps, and the U.S. Army, before returning to school at Manchester University, where he studied Athletic Training in 2000. Lou has worked as an athletic trainer for high school, the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the United Hockey League (UHL) and the Arena Football League (AFL). While working as an athletic trainer, Lou earned a Master's in Educational Leadership (M.S.Ed.) from Indiana University at the Ft. Wayne, Indiana campus in 2015.
