Tolulope Sanni is a third-year Ph.D. student of Civil Engineering. She has a BS degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and an MS degree in Construction Project Management from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, UK. Tolu is a certified Project management Professional (PMP). Her primary areas of research focus on investigating immersive disaster risk communication methods and emerging technologies in construction, engineering, and management.
She is a member of the African Students Association and the International Students Association, and currently serves as a volunteer with the Center for Service and Leadership to help the Tuscaloosa communities on service days. Tolu also works with the graduate school as a tide-together mentor. She is currently serving as a member of the Senate of the Student Government Association at the University of Alabama representing the Graduate School. She is interested in representing every student and being a voice in upholding and formulating effective policies and lending support for bills that will improve student life at the University of Alabama.
