My name is Tori Stone. I moved to Tuscaloosa from Las Vegas, NV after obtaining my Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. I am now a fourth-year doctoral student in the Department of Kinesiology under the advisement of Dr. Jonathan Wingo. My research at UA has focused on human cardiovascular and thermoregulation during heat stress with a particular emphasis in biophysical and physiological sex differences that modulate both central and peripheral control of thermoeffector responses ( i.e., cutaneous vascular conductance and sudomotor activity). I anticipate graduating in the spring or summer of 2019 and will pursue post-doctoral research opportunities. In my spare time, I enjoy running and biking, online shopping, traveling with my family, and catching up on reading.
